Our custom homes are bespoke-designed homes for our particular client. The floorplan and all finishes are curated and selected for our clients, resulting in a finished home that is tailor-made in every way. A custom home is financed by the client, with a builder’s fee added to the cost of the build.
We believe that intentional homes start with detailed design discussions about style, function, and aesthetic goals from day 1. We work to create a house plan for our clients that will lay the foundation for their dream home and create a work of art that will stand the test of time.
We begin with an in-person meeting with our client to talk about our clients vision, budget, financing and timeline goals. This is usually done over dinner at a restaurant of our clients choosing, paid for by JAH.
Next, we begin the detailed design process of creating the perfect floorplan for our client’s needs. This process takes approximately six weeks.
After the blueprint is finalized, we walk through all the design selections for the home. Kitchen designs, trim work, door styles, and more are discussed to establish a comprehensive plan to create the desired result for our clients. The selection process allows us to generate quotes from our vendors to create tailored estimates for material costs. This is usually done in one to three in-person design meetings.
After we have a detailed cost analysis of the project based on the blueprint, design selections, and material costs, we present a contract for our clients to review and sign before breaking ground.
Because we establish the majority of our creative designs ahead of time, our building process is as streamlined as possible. This is the exciting phase of the building process, as our plans and designs come to life!
